I visited again — today, the elite side of Lagos State.
Two things!
Many Nigerian Employees want to do the barest minimum and get paid. I mean the barest possible minimum.
I visited a company — The receptionist left her desk and went downstairs to a shop nearby to paint her nails. A man and myself was waiting for her, we decided to go downstairs. Behold there she is fully relaxed doing her nails. She finished, we went upstairs for her to check the necessary documents. She just threw the file in one corner and said "you can go". Inside my mind, I just shake head, dey sad for the owner of the company. It's not easy to run a business in Nigeria with lackadaisical employees.
He nor easy to be entrepreneur for Nigeria. I know whethin my eye don see for entrepreneurship wen I dey do for this country.
Secondly,
I went back to the middle class — poor side of Lagos State. I tell myself say, nor be here I suppose dey. What's wrong with being in the side of the elite? Nothing oh. But three bedroom annual rent na N70M. To buy same three bed na N5B.
I'll buy one there soon. I'll be part of the elite in a moment.
