Hello Chestherian!

  • One of the biggest responsibility in life is being a father / a parent!

I am shocked when people give birth to so many children. I had an acquaintance — A Young lady less than 30 years old. She gave birth to six kids. 'Omo. You nor dey fear the responsibility (not financial aspect — Like the task you have for life — The responsibility of shaping, grooming).

God trusting you with a human life to groom.

You have the responsibility to shape another human being, another person's life however you want.

    — You can shape the life to become a lawyer. A doctor. An engineer. A pastor. You can groom them with any behaviour or character trait you deem acceptable. You can inculcate in them any BELIEF SYSTEM. Negative, Positive, Whatever. You can project your fear, confidence, trauma, traditions, culture into them. You can even decide not to be intentional and let life and society help you shape them — for better or even worse — into an armed robber. A kidnapper. A cultist. A prostitute.

A Man once told me how he wants his three kids to become exactly what he wants and what he couldn't become himself. Two are studying exactly what he wants. One is studying medicine, the other is studying law and the third is being groomed to study what he wants.

See RESPONSIBILITY... I see that as one of the biggest responsibility of life.

Shaping a life. Grooming. Knowing the will of God and shaping that human life accordingly.

Inside one child — A generation lives. Not to talk of six.

A parent has to be very intentional. INTENTIONAL.

  • On my way back home yesterday evening...

At a police checkpoint, I saw two policemen in an heated argument and one was pointing his gun at the other.

They were about a team of seven men. Five were checking vehicles one after the other minding their business while two of their colleagues were in a heated about to shoot at each other.

? And this was close to their police station.
? Are these guys aware, they are wearing the police uniform?
? Are they aware — There's an audience of civilians around them?

If you want to fight one another, go inside the police station (within close doors) and fight na. Why should you do that in the presence of civilians?

I've seen the same thing happen in homes — Parents fighting profusely in presence of children, staffs fighting in presence of customers, teachers fighting in presence of students, pastors fighting in presence of members.

Human default behaviour at play with many humans — Once somebody press your "anger button" reach one extent — You go drop home training, societal training, religious training or whatever training for pocket... You go fight, then calm down later.

Don't ALWAYS operate with your default human behaviour.

  • Just some notes...

To be successful, you've got to be a good salesman.

A good salesman is able to take a "no" and still try again.

Remember how you used to grind from day one. Make sure you approach every day even when you've made it in the same energy, passion and hunger because if you become complacent, that's the day you lose.

Comfort is the most dangerous drug and average is your biggest enemy to becoming success.

  • When I was a child I heard a quote... When a lady has beauty without brains, her vagina suffers.

As a man living in Nigeria, if your relationship net worth is poor, your finances pay for it — sometimes heavily.

The country is so "rigged" that you have to know someone in every system or "tip" your way sometimes heavily into basic things.

    An experience...

How the country is rigged or decaying...

I remembered being at the airport. ..

Some minutes to departure... an NDLEA officer came to where we were waiting for our flight and randomly pointed at people for search.

Myself, my wife and others were pointed out.

They asked us to go with them into one of the offices which belong to them for a thorough search if we were carrying any hard drugs. .

We went in... Our luggage was thoroughly ransacked in search of hard drugs...

When a man and his two sons... Around 25 years old each were also asked to come in for a search.

Immediately, they came in... The man, who was likely a military man said both boys were his children and mentioned a name or two to the NDLEA officer who was doing the search — The names were likely the superior of the officer and that's how his sons were not searched.

Meanwhile, there was a foreign national — A Young Man who was speaking with a foreign accent saying that he was from Texas — NDLEA officers were asking him to do the "right thing before dem change am follow am".

In Nigeria, Know someone in all the systems or have a lot of money to tip around.

  • We all need miracles.

    Or

At one point in our life, we do need miracles.

I am not sure, man can exist without the presence of miracles.

There comes a time — where you just need "beyond human capacity" — You need the assistance of the divine, the supernatural.

Then, you come to conclusion — WE ALL NEED MIRACLES.

  • At my child's InterHouse Competition.

    95% Women representing as Parents.
    5% Men representing as Parents.

This clearly speaks a statement about families and the society at large.

We can infer by assumptions... That the fathers of these kids are outside grinding while the women look after the kids and represent frequently as parents in social gatherings.

We can also infer that women are more active participants in Children's life globally in the family than men.

Also, We can infer some are Single Mothers, Separated Parents, Deceased Fathers and etc.

I wish I could run a quick interview on each woman here — asking them why they came alone.

  • Consistency!

No one sees the RESULT OF CONSISTENCY until it PAYS OFF.

OverNight Success is Usually a Decade.

    You know what that means?

Grind in the right direction for 3,650 days and let's see if you won't clock in multiple millions.
